All Roads Lead to Prosperity Or Do They?

Prosperity is a fascinating subject to study and I’ve been spending a lot of time lately immersing myself in it. It’s not that I haven’t read a lot of books on the subject before – I have. But something has changed and I guess in everyone’s life there comes a time when they suddenly get it. When everything they have been reading and assimilating suddenly makes sense!

So I’ve had a prosperity ‘moment.’ I’m blogging about this today because I realise after working with many business partners in the Network Marketing and home business arena that this is probably the No.1 area that people fail to apply themselves in.

Okay some people sign up and simply do nothing which of course is no way to build a business. On the other hand, many people do a lot of activity but they just can’t seem to get the results they want. We could talk about consistency and numbers etc which is always a key area for pinpointing the weak areas in the business, but still as so many people in the industry have understood over the years, it is primarily about mindset.

I started my first home business about 5 years ago so I’ve worked a lot on my mindset and been serious about developing a new and better one. (This was absolute necessary for success!) In fact this is one of the main gifts that I have received from the industry; the encouragement to undertake daily personal development, and to strive to improve myself on a daily basis.

Still there are lots of professionals who are achieving some success but still need to break through to a higher level of prosperity to be ready to claim all that can be theirs. As a new era dawns in Network Marketing and in the current economic climate, the business model becomes more and more attractive to people all over the world, it is important to be ready to receive all that can be yours.

Many people in the business are familiar with a wide range of books about personal development, prosperity and mindset. How often do they really read them though? I would hazard a guess that most read each book once. Here we hit the consistency weak spot again. Like everything the majority will take some action but not stick with it.

What I have found is that by reading something positive and uplifting everyday, preferably morning and evening so that the day is started right and finished well, my day is so much more fun. I get better results in all areas of my life, not just the business.

How about you? Do you follow the daily programme of personal development or is it more of a one day on and one off type schedule? One book that has helped me really get to grips with thinking in the right way, or ‘the certain way,’ as Wallace D. Wattles calls it is ‘The Science of Getting Rich.’

This is a marvellous little book that for some reason had eluded me until recently. What I love about this book is that it contains an amazingly powerful prosperity message, presented in an amazingly simple way.

And even those who really have no love for reading will be able to get to grips with this one. It’s a small book and its message is easy to understand. This classic was written in 1910 and is now freely distributed on the internet for the purpose of increasing prosperity. The great thing about it is that it gives you a specific step by step plan to attain wealth and prosperity.

Wallace recommends that you read just this little book everyday because everything you need to achieve your dreams is contained within it. The interesting thing is that I have been reading Catherine Ponder’s book ‘The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity,’ (Review to follow when I have completed it!) and there is a page there that really caught my attention. It explains the need to absolutely immerse oneself in prosperity studies, at least for a period of time.

‘It may seem an extreme idea to you that you must concentrate, concentrate and concentrate on prosperity to exclusion of all else; that you should discard negative, failure-minded business associates, that you should begin to fearlessly weed out all undesirable relationships; that you should be careful with whom and how you spend your time, even your leisure time.’

It seems to be the universal message and the books compliment one another.
The idea is that once you have broken through to new heights of success, the total immersion will no longer be necessary because you are less vulnerable.

‘The Science of Getting Rich,’ is the best book I have read so far that in just 100 pages delivers an absolute recipe for prosperity mindset and is the kind of book you can pop in your bag and dip into on a daily basis.
