Some WOO WOO Tips to Keep Your Business Booming this Summer!

Well I’ve just come back from a holiday with my family so sorry for not blogging for a while. I just realised that I know how to keep things going when I’m in semi-holiday mode but so many people just think it’s time to close up shop.

No it’s not! Trust me if you let yourself stop all marketing activity for your business now you will be so sorry in the autumn.

October and November are HUGE months in home business but they will only be huge for you if you keep on sowing those seeds now.

When everyone else is zigging, you be zagging…

When everyone else is slacking, you be smart…

So here are 10 tips on how to make August a brilliant month for you. (This isn’t all about business either – but it will affect your business)

1) Step up your personal development. Don’t yawn. This is BIG stuff. I stepped up my personal development and have been reading stuff about prosperity every day for the last 6 weeks. Amazing things have been happening for me; including a major rank advancement, more cheques in the post, prizes and all sorts of goodies. Stuff is coming to me much more easily as a result and it will do for you too if you spend some time reading the right stuff every day.

(Think and Grow Rich, Randy Gage prosperity stuff and/or anything by Catherine Ponder is a wonderful place to start. Many of these books you can get from the library although I would buy Think and Grow Rich and read it forever until you get it!!)

2) Do some exercise. Even 20 minutes a day will make you feel better and perform better. You will attract more good stuff as you’ll have more ENERGY to prospect and do the stuff you need to do for your business. Most of the stuff we need to do to build the business is simple stuff but we need the right MINDSET and ENERGY to do it.

3) Control your words and thoughts. Simple thing I have learned. I’ve known it for a long time but knowing and doing consistently are completely different things as you probably know!

Make a focussed effort to stop yourself saying negative things and stop talking about what you DON’T want. Is it a bit ‘WOO WOO?’ You bet. But give it a go and you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the results. It’s easy to do for a day or a week. Much more challenging forever! Work on it – it’s worth it.

4) Prospect every day! Prospecting is the lifeblood of your business. Pick up the phone and get yourself into more action. Connect with people and make friends. Don’t jump on them with your business. Find out who they are and what they want from life. If they are the kind of person you’d like to partner with, go ahead and invite them to take a look at your business. It’s amazing how these basics work when you do them!

5) Start your ‘list’ and add to your list. I don’t care if it’s an online or offline list. People are everywhere in your life and you need to get them into your list so you stay in touch with them. If having an online list is too techie for you, just have a written list but come on – you need that list. Someone else (perhaps me?) will be enrolling some of the peeps who should be on YOUR LIST if you don’t take action. You snooze you lose so stop sitting around waiting for it to happen, and help it a little bit! I can’t remember where I heard it but there’s a great saying ‘as you pray move your feet.’ Translation = when you’ve read think and grow rich get your act together and make your list!

6) Touch base and reconnect with people in your world. Use whatever communication tool you usually use with them; Facebook, Skype, Phone, Email (avoid pigeon carrier if possible!) and find out what they’re up to. If you are doing the things we’ve covered so far you will give out such a GREAT vibe these people will be happy to hear from you. Be a friend and who knows you may gain a new customer or business partner.
Update your prospects with promotions from your company. Let them know about new products that can help them or exciting stuff about the business. People sometimes need to hear from you many times before the time is right for them. (GIANT CAVEAT: Please do not interpret this to mean that you keep going back to the same 3 prospects on your list who already said no) You need new ones too. See tip number 4.

7) Use your products. Use them in public and make them part of your life. (Unless you’re an Ann Summers rep perhaps!) Get a new product result this August. Try a new product or use the ones you have consistently. Don’t be lazy with this. The products are for you too; not just for ‘them.’

8) Set your goal for your next rank advancement. You may think that most of these points have been about how you live and you’re right. How well you do in your business has everything to do with how you live your life and I promise you if you do the things on this list (consistently this month) you will have the most amazing month and set yourself up for a very profitable autumn, which is a huge season for home business which you need to be ready for.

9) Tithe (10% of your profits) or give to charity. Find the way that suits you. This isn’t only for religious people so do some research on it and start giving. We’ve been doing this for a while now and it is amazing. Letting go brings so much more back to you than clinging on to what you’ve got.

10) Do something a bit SCARY! Yes go on do it. What’s the worst that can happen? The chances are that the reality won’t be half as bad as you imagine and you’ll kill that fear once and for all. We’re all scared of different things and it can paralyse us in other areas too so breaking through those fears helps us in so many ways.

Ok that’s it for today. I hope you make this a summer of fun and success. They do work together!

I’d love to hear what you’re up to so please leave me a comment and if you’ve enjoyed this post spread the love on the buttons below!
