5 DUPLICATABLE Ways to Build Your MLM Team Online

February 2nd, 2010 rhenke Comments

Duplication, duplication, duplication in MLM! It can be a double edged sword…

How Can You Be Unique Online and Still Duplicate in MLM?

On the one hand you want to build a large organization of team members who know exactly what to do each day to build their business.

On the other – if you’re reading this anyway – you most likely want to use some online marketing to boost your prospecting.

It’s a tricky one and can trip up a lot of well meaning distributors. Many are inspired to make great videos and write wonderful articles but then their downline can’t seem to do the same.

Top Tip: I’ve noticed that no matter what you do the majority of your downline simply do what they want to do anyway so do not waste too much time fretting about this one!

You could have the most perfect ‘SYSTEM’ in the MLM universe and still most folks will find reasons to change it or do something different. It is the nature of team members aka people!

I hear you ask but how does that help me Rachel?

Okay here goes. I’m going to give you some concrete ways that you can use online marketing to attract more prospects and which you can help your downline with at the same time.

How’s that?

5 DUPLICATABLE Ways to Build Your MLM Team Online

1) When creating articles, videos, blog posts, tweets or any other content BE YOU. (Your best positive YOU of course!) Anyone and EVERYONE including all of your team members know how to be themselves.

This is essential in online marketing. They can’t try to pretend to be you. That being said, make sure to also work with them on posture and attitude. That way they can come across as their BEST self too.

2) Keep it simple. For online marketing you MUST, I repeat MUST have an online mlm funnel which attracts your prospects to put their details in so they join your MLM prospect list.

If your team members want to work online then either recommend they use the same MLM funnel/website as you to collect leads OR make one for your team. Yes it is that simple. One or the other.

There are no other options! Unless you call zooming around online, drowning people with information instead of attracting them into your ‘world,’ an option?

Once in your funnel you can build a relationship with them and educate them with elegance on what you have to offer.

3) Provide pre-written auto-responders (follow up email messages) for your team members. The easier the set up for them, the better. It still AMAZES me how many people over 25 haven’t a clue about anything technical online.

And then of course there is the copywriting. You can make a great website and online funnel for your team but if you can’t write compelling copy you might just as well whistle in the wind. (or go out and do some flyers..)

Pay someone to do your copy for your website and auto-responders OR recruit the skills that your business needs. You probably already have someone in your downline or upline who can write good copy. Trade skills.

4) Whatever content you create well, make it easy for your team to share it too.

Let’s say you write good articles. Write some 500 word articles and encourage your team to use them on their blogs. They can leave the author name and copyright on the bottom but they get to add their website link to collect any leads generated as a result of the article.

Other people can reprint your articles through article sharing sites so why not have your guys share them to build your team?

Have the person who creates the content put it first on their blog so they get maximum benefit on the search engines.

5) If you or someone on your team can make short videos (2 mins is long enough!) you can edit them in windows movie maker and add a team blog or website link to the video clip.

When the prospect visits the Team blog or website it can just say ‘name of person who referred you,’ as one of the fields to complete to enter the site. (see my company blog as an example if you like: MLM Team Blog)

With videos there isn’t even a duplicate content issue and everyone can write their one short paragraph to promote the video on their YouTube account or blog.

There you go – that way you can generate leads using the same blog or website. Not all of your team members are going to get to grips with having their own blogs etc.

BUT they may still want to participate in the online experience by having their webpage or shared blog link on their Twitter or Facebook page.

If you don’t teach them how to network well – the odds are they may network rather badly!

Happy Networking

How Important Is 3 Way Calling For Duplication?

April 4th, 2008 rhenke Comments

3 way calling is a key skill that in some network marketing systems is completely overlooked. Here are the reasons why I use 3 way calling on a regular basis and classify it as one of the key Rainmaker activities that deliver growth in my organisation.

Where is that place in between travelling all round town to meet with your downline and their prospects, and between leaving them all to themselves to fend off the ‘forces of evil’ and try to enrol people into their business entirely on their own? No matter what anyone tells you, at some point you need to pick up the telephone to connect with your prospect and provide the human element. Even the master attraction marketer, Mike Dillard, encourages this. The only time you’ll enrol someone into a serious network marketing programme that is not one of those free deals or under $50 deals will be if a deadly serious prospect is looking for your opportunity and by whatever means they have reviewed the information online and have deduced that you can connect them up correctly for success. Other than that forget it…..

You will need to TALK to your prospect! You will need to learn about them and why they are looking for a home-based business. This is where the 3 way call comes into the picture as a major player. I have read some weird and uneducated opinions about what 3 way calling is supposed to be about but here is how it works for us with the Randy Gage Team:

1) Enables our team members to introduce their prospect to their business partner who has experience and has achieved success in the business even if they have themselves only joined 24 hours ago.
2) Shows the team member instead of tells them how to do the business in real life, and how to talk to their prospects.
3) They can edify the upline leader which gives them credibility, and in turn the upline leader edifies the team member as someone who is serious about their business and an asset to the team.
4) Introduces the prospect to a system and training infrastructure that helps them feel confident about joining our TEAM if it is right for them.
5) Adds a much needed ‘human element’ to an increasingly automated business.
6) Eliminates the deathly fear that a new team member often has, by providing professional coaching and support as they grow into a leadership role themselves.

What the 3 way call is not!!

A pressure tactic to introduce people who are not looking to be introduced.
A way to take credibility from the team member and place it further up the chain.
The upline’s job to sign up the prospect. The call is handed back to the team member who then takes the next step in the process.

I don’t know about you but my major purpose is to build an ever expanding and increasing network of empowered business partners who are able to function without me. I want to work myself out of a job and the only way to do that is to provide real life leadership training.
