I just finished working through Jim Yaghi’s PPC Domination course, released by Magnetic Sponsoring a couple of month’s ago.

I did half the course when I first received it and just completed it now, after going away in the middle to get some other online content in place such as unique capture pages, so that I could use the course to best advantage as Jim recommends.

As a Google Ad words Pay Per Click veteran I had studied (and scratched my head for hours!) about 2 years back with the help of Perry Marshall’s ‘Definitive Guide to Google Adwords.‘ I did generate some good leads and cash flow with this but there were some missing pieces for Network Marketers.

This is a great resource for starters but is not specialised for Internet Network Marketing so I have found the addition of the Project PPC Domination course invaluable.

So when should you invest in a comprehensive course like this? (It consists of 3 introductory calls to listen to, 12 videos running anything from 15 minutes up to 1 hour, with the average being about 30 minutes each)

Well let’s start with when not to invest in a specialised course like this!

a) If you don’t have the patience to work through that amount of material and it will just sit in your Magnetic Sponsoring back office untouched!
b) If you are focussing on free social marketing and starting to have some success (wait to ramp it up to use Google Adwords for when you can focussed on it and have your ‘credibility content’ in place first
c) If you have no budget to do paid advertising

So when might it be the right time for you to get started with Google Adwords PPC?

a) When you are ready to knuckle down to the real acquisition of this skill
b) If you want to specialise in this area and offer an ‘MLM lead co-op’ to your team so that you can pool your advertising budget together and with your specialised skills you can generate high quality leads for your team. (Big benefits when you are all focussed and in action at exactly the same time, with same campaign)
c) When you are frustrated with social marketing – it is free and fabulous but difficult to quantify. Adwords is a science and you can predict what number of leads you are going to get once you study it and go through the initial learning curve.
d) When you have some cash-flow created from your funded proposal (posh name for network marketing affiliate programme) with free social marketing and/or your MLM business so you can reinvest it into paid advertising to scale it up.

Warning! Do not bother getting this course and trying to set up adwords if you are a dabbler by nature because you cannot win. You must learn this and apply it consistently to produce long term results with Google Adwords. (As with most things!)

This is a new addition to the course or I wouldn’t have had to stop halfway through to go off and create my own capture pages!

As you may already have experienced, when you advertise direct to your MLM opportunity, Google adwords eats you and your budget alive!

I do not recommend this! Use a funded proposal like Magnetic Sponsoring so you can monetise your leads and also pre-qualify them.

Then you introduce your MLM on the back end through your auto-responders and by giving value with ‘how to’ information.

p.s your leads can really be free when you set this up right with a funded proposal. In fact you can make a profit on every lead you generate.

Well that seems like a rhetorical question! I mean why wouldn’t you do that?
If you can get more income streams running through your business and into your bank account then it seems like a sensible thing to do right?

I guess the only reason you wouldn’t do it is if you didn’t know what it was, or perhaps you kind of know what it is but don’t know how to do it… or you may be a little afraid to grasp the new style of business model because you’ve always done things a particular way. Change can be scary.

Let’s clear that up today.

At the moment I am helping Network Marketers to cross the bridge from concentrating purely on the traditional business model, to implementing the new model which comprises not only more possibilities online, but also a structured route for implementing a funded proposal.

So what is a funded proposal? You’ll be hearing more and more about it so we may as well get straight on it now! There’s nothing worse than not knowing what’s going on and missing out on a good thing.

A funded proposal is a fancy name for a marketing funnel that offers some kind of product (information and educational ebooks and courses work well) at the front end and enables you to do several wonderful things as follows:

a) attract the right target market for your primary business by providing useful resources

b) monetize the process with an automated system so that you can have cashflow running through your business very quickly (almost immediately if you already have a presence on the internet with social media sites and perhaps a blog)

c) generate quality leads at no cost, or even at a profit depending how you are promoting it.

d) You get paid whether your ‘leads’ join your business now or not, and you also are able to build a relationship with them which means that you can introduce them to your primary business if and when appropriate.

e) You learn how to build your own list which you can market to for life and build your own cash machine.

f) Survive, thrive and keep smiling even if you are not the No.1 recruiter in your company!

Nowadays it is easy to plug into a system that provides all the marketing tools and affiliate back office for you instantly. You don’t need to handle any of the payments or figure out how to deliver the product. It’s all done for you. You just need to promote your link and there are usually lots of great banners and advertising tools for doing this.

There are quite a few funded proposals available which are designed specifically for Network Marketers. Do a bit of research and find out what works best for you.

I favour Magnetic Sponsoring because the products are valuable information resources that I buy myself and can promote with enthusiasm. The affiliate programme is solid and the customer service is excellent.

As we switch over to the new era of Network Marketing some people still hesitate about this concept and I think it is usually just because it is unfamiliar to them. There is no other business where you would not encourage business owners to generate cashflow through advertising and offering other products and services so why would we not do the same?

Some leaders are concerned that affiliate programmes will distract their team members from their ‘mission.’ In some cases I think this can be the case but if you choose wisely the funded proposal is designed only to compliment the work one is doing with the primary business. I am all for this because in my first years in the business I was under constant financial stress and almost developed stomach ulcers just thinking about how I was going to keep myself afloat financially.

Does your company offer great training events in exotic locations around the world? Lifestyle is what its all about but too often new team members find themselves living the ‘lifestyle’ without the funds to pay for it.

I see the funded proposal as a way for them to put cash in their pocket, thus helping them to maintain a good attitude and funding their business and travel expenses until their residual income kicks in. In my first company we used to retail in our sleep just to stay alive and also to meet the dreaded monthly volume requirements.

We are fast moving away from that model and retail is all but dead in Network Marketing. The funded proposal is so much more fun and once set up works on autopilot. That means you generate cashflow without taking your time away from building your main business because the two activities blend together beautifully.

Are you speeding along, leveraging all the new technologies and having fun, or are you stamping your foot, resisting change, and wishing everything would just slow down and stay the same? Facebook, Blogs, Google Adwords, Twitter, You Tube, Skype. Whatever next?

Technology is changing so fast and on top of all those daily tasks that you probably need to do in your business already, there seems little time to learn how to use all these new tools. Am I close?

Let’s face it some of them can be a little overwhelming, especially for those who are not technically or computer minded. So what can you do? Well as with all things you have some choices:

a) Do nothing and hope that your business thrives even if you don’t move with the times.

You may think that all of this Social Media ’stuff’ is great for other people, and for those who have time to play around online. Meanwhile you have a ‘real’ job to do! Maybe you spend many hours a day on the phone convincing and selling your prospects on how great your opportunity or product is. Well I sincerely wish you luck here and you are going to need it!

b) You want to implement and grow your business using these new exciting tools but you just don’t know how to break it all down so you still take no action.

This is similar to the first choice but you know deep inside that it isn’t the best way to go.

c) You understand that if you don’t go with the flow you will probably drown!

You decide today to update your skills and position yourself in time to benefit from the prosperity and opportunity that is being created with Social Media and Web 2.0 technology. This is true for every business owner but even more so for those in the Network Marketing industry because the business is all about connecting and attracting people to join your team.

The wonderful thing about plunging in and learning about Social Media and cutting edge marketing is that all of the skills you learn are transferable to any industry.

In my 6 years in Network Marketing I have been shown how to do a lot of things. In my first company when I was an MLM virgin, I was primarily shown how to buy leads ie; spend money. Even in that scenario which I don’t recommend to anyone, I developed some key skills such as how to handle my cash flow, and how to use the telephone to make the most out of my leads.

The results were not great but my point is that in every action you take for your business, especially when you are hanging way out of your comfort zone, you will learn new skills.

Your skills and your brand are more valuable to you than money. You may be flat broke now but if you are developing the skills you need to succeed in Network Marketing in the 21st century then you are way ahead of the crowd and riches will soon follow as long as you have a correct strategy and mindset.

If there is ever a time in our history where leaders can elect themselves then this is it! Using these technologies you don’t need to ask permission from your upline to be a leader! You just need to position yourself as one and because you have the skills that many of the traditional marketers (who may have other amazing skills that you need also) don’t have, you automatically become an authority in your field of online marketing, and you become ATTRACTIVE.

I always write specifically for Network Marketers but there are so many businesses that can apply the same principles. For instance, Information Marketing seems to have merged with Network Marketing in many cases so you no longer really need to create your own products unless you want to. Using social media allows an entrepreneur to market themselves on a very low budget.

There are so many information products you can offer on the way in your attraction marketing process that it is becoming very easy to make money online. If you don’t yet have a funded proposal set up in your business so that you can make commissions every day whether people join your business or not, then I recommend that you implement one immediately.

Remember when we used manual typewriters and listened to tapes? We managed fine right? The thing is as soon as we had the option to have better technology it was only a matter of time before the new standard became the norm and if I don’t have my emails coming through on my blackberry and my tweet alerts then I feel quite lost!

I don’t know about you but I wouldn’t go back to a typewriter and a tape player when I can use a beautiful laptop and an I pod. I mean why would I?

The point of this is that technology can be used to speed up your success and leverage your time, not slow you down as you try to learn how to use it. That is just a learning curve and results can come very fast in this arena. Social Media tools are becoming much simpler to understand as they are being designed for the masses, so with a bit of application anyone really can get the hang of using them.

Once you know these skills they are skills for life so update your skills and be daring. You can be the leader here. Its wide open for anyone who wants to run with this and learn how to blog, learn how to produce a video on You Tube, build a group of followers on Twitter. Why not you? As Jim Rohn says, ‘What you don’t know will hurt you!’

In Network Marketing you can be aligned with the greatest company in the history of the world but if you don’t have enough people looking at it, it means nothing.
