The 3 Step Blueprint of Attraction Marketing Direct to YOUR MLM Team

March 17th, 2010 rhenke Comments

So we’ve talked about how to attract prospects into your list using affiliate programs or funded proposals. Check out the post here if you want to read more about affiliate marketing for MLM

Now let’s talk about how to attract prospects to your MLM team this month!

There’s so much confusion here and so many differing opinions that business builders often get stuck because they don’t know which is best for them.

Perhaps you want to use technology and love the idea of online marketing but just don’t understand how to put it all together?

‘Attraction Marketing’ is such a buzz phrase these days but what is it really?

Some think it’s all about affiliate marketing. Others just don’t get it at all. I think in its purest form it’s exactly what it says, ‘Attraction Marketing.’ It’s as old as the bible and King Solomon was practicing it with great success!

Using affiliate programs and building your list with it is just the popular way it’s being used now. Joe Schroeder of the Million Mind March, the Cash Flow Recruiting Machine and Quick Link, likes to say he invented Attraction Marketing in the 90s.

If you were to chat with Dan Kennedy or read some of his books you’d find that he thinks he put it on the map too.

Mike Dillard of Magnetic Sponsoring fame has been a student of both Joe Schroeder and Dan Kennedy and as Mike has exploded the whole attraction marketing model for MLM there must be some truth in their claims.

However I don’t think Attraction Marketing has to be about affiliates do you? That is just a way of effectively monetizing your email list. The downside is that many people end up just selling online books and programs and DO NOT BUILD THEIR MLM RESIDUAL INCOME!

They spend hours and hours online each day promoting gurus and rambling on about how great Mike Dillard, Mike Klingler and Ann Sieg are. That’s all well and good but what about YOU and your business? They have theirs and you are promoting it!

I don’t know about you but as much as I love making some extra dollars online with affiliates I enjoy my residual income from my MLM business much more!

If you choose a good company and team and build it right you have an excellent chance of creating a long term MLM Rockstar income so that you can spend your time a few years down the line relaxing and doing whatever it is you really love to do.

Banner

I’m going for that. How about you? Sales is great for instant cash but how about building your MLM fast so you get upfront cash, as you do with some of the best new MLM compensation plans BUT at the same time you’re building your residual and passive income? Sound good to you?

Attraction Marketing is simply setting up your business and content so that people can find YOU and whatever it is you want them to find. It can work with on and offline marketing materials but here we’ll cover online.

So how do we use attraction marketing to attract prospects to actually review our MLM rather than just buy affiliate products through our links?

Today I’ll share my blueprint with you that is working for me and enabling me to enrol some amazing people into my MLM business WHO FIND ME ONLINE:

Step 1: Set up your online MLM marketing funnel FIRST. Bearing in mind that you can still use all the principles of Attraction Marketing you need a funnel that attracts prospects to sign up to receive some more info from you.

You can use a wordpress blog that talks about your MLM such as this: MLM Blog Example AND/OR

You can set up a capture page attraction marketing system for you and your team to use such as this: MLM Team Example

Please don’t copy mine! I’m sharing my real stuff with you here as I know how important it is for you but there are enough words to go round for us all to be original with our content.

With the blog you have the advantages of using the power of wordpress and you can let your team use it as a group blog to generate leads as we do. Notice how you can have the sign up box say who referred the prospect.

The other system which we use very successfully is to have a capture page and auto-responder marketing funnel which markets your MLM Team and you provide it for your MLM Team Members.

With both of these options the major benefit is that your team can be active online BEFORE or WITHOUT EVER having to figure out all the confusing stuff about how to create pages and marketing funnels.

You can create the system for your team (it’s not that complicated if you understand the basics of setting up a marketing funnel.) You can outsource it to a good web designer and copywriter.

Notice how in both options we offer something of real VALUE for the prospect to receive – in this case it’s a Cash Flow Class. It’s not a ‘join my MLM because it’s brilliant!’ I hope you can see the difference here because it is SO important for your success.

Unless someone is ready to join your MLM and is just shopping for a sponsor you must have something valuable to ATTRACT your prospect to review the MLM info.

It could be a team audio, video, e-book, short report, email training course… the options are endless really but to recruit direct to your MLM it must be about your MLM Team and your MLM Company.

It’s a more direct approach and it works great for those who are SERIOUS about creating long term residual income… not just clicking around online selling this and that.

I’m using real life examples here for you because I know that theory is no use to you. You don’t want to hear more rehashed guru copywriting about how you can recruit 20 people a month blah blah using someone’s system do you?

You want the real stuff about how and what we DO online to make it happen. Am I right?

Keep tuned into my blog if you’re interested in learning more about creating unique marketing funnels and wordpress blogs because I’ll be adding some more training about exactly HOW TO do those things very soon.

Ok next time we’ll cover Step 2 of the Blueprint of Attraction Marketing direct to your MLM. We’ll be talking about how to drive traffic to your MLM marketing funnel.

If you found this useful please share or leave a comment with your feedback.

The 4 Magic Keys to Building Your MLM business With Affiliate Marketing.

February 25th, 2010 rhenke Comments

So in the last blog posts we covered the basics of building the business.

Today we’re going to talk about how to build the business with affiliate marketing or funded proposals.

It’s not for everyone and that’s ok. Some people get completely distracted and overwhelmed with offering a range of products at their website or blog.

Others love to monetize the process of creating new contacts and building relationships through email and online marketing.

If you’re reading this article then the chances are that you are already using or are researching how to use affiliate marketing or a funded proposal combined with online network marketing.

If this all sounds a bit confusing then go back and read my basic posts here first: 7 Secrets of Launching MLM

So let’s say you’re fine and dandy with your warm market contact list. You’re working through it and have had a few new enrolees and customers. You’re following the training that your upline is providing and you’re EXCITED.

Then you start to look on the internet and see if there is a way for you to do some business building online. You start to opt into various marketers lists and before you know it you are MORE CONFUSED than a bee in a flower shop.

frustrated pc user

You’re hearing from Mike Dillard about the magic of Magnetic Sponsoring, Ann Sieg is emailing you about the Renegade Network Marketer (and telling you that you’re upline is basically useless) and Mike Klingler is talking about getting the technical skills you need from Renegade University or Renegade Professional!

You’re getting more and more excited about ALL THIS MONEY you are going to make but in the back of your mind you’re beginning to wonder if this was such a good idea after all! How the heck are you ever going to promote all these different things that for online affiliate marketing seem to be the ABCs?

How on earth are you ever going to find time or the focus to enrol someone in your Network Marketing business with all these other things to promote?

How are you ever going to understand all this?

How will you work with your upline in your MLM if they don’t understand this?

These are the kind of questions that I receive in my inbox and on my blackberry very often! People are so confused. The most confused of all is the new network marketer who has just ordered his pack and instead of making his candidate list and learning the basics of inviting, with his upline has instead jumped straight into Attraction Marketing with Affiliate Marketing.

I really feel for these guys. They are really up against it unless they learn the basics with a good mentor.

STOP! Let’s cover the 4 Magic Keys to building your MLM business using affiliate marketing without losing your mind, your hair and possibly even your spouse before you enrol your first team member!!

Key 1

Keep your mind on your MLM end game. Do you know what your end game is? Unless you want it to be ironically but tragically similar to the famous Samuel Beckett one-act play with just four characters, you had better get clear on it BEFORE you start building your list and trying to attract prospects to you using affiliate marketing.

Here are some questions to get you going:

Am I 100% committed to building my Network Marketing business with XYZ Company?

If yes – what are my monthly volume quotas to receive my royalty cheque?

Do I need a large customer base to qualify or can I focus mainly on recruiting?

How many hours per week have I got available to do the core fundamentals of building and maintaining my business?

Depending on which company you’re with and how you are building your business this may include things like:

Providing orientation training for new team members

Coaching and assisting them with 3 way calls and working their candidate list

Attending/Running Local Business Builder Meetings or online webinars

Attending local networking events

Following up with your prospects

Enrolling them

Plus lots more!

It’s quite a lot to do and if you only have 10-15 hours per week to work the business part-time like most people do you will need to get very clear on your daily method of operation.

If you spend your spare 2 hours trying to figure out how to install a wordpress blog you will be neglecting the very core activities that will build your cheque.

So Key 1 is to get very clear on what and how you are building your core MLM business.

If you want to use affiliate marketing as part of your overall strategy to bring prospects into your list then I recommend that you set up your OWN MARKETING FUNNEL or MLM ONLINE SYSTEM ASAP!

Don’t build someone else’s list. Build your own! Set up your marketing funnel so that your prospect becomes YOUR LEAD FIRST, not the lead of Mike Dillard, Mike Klingler or Ann Sieg. I love these guys but they have enough leads already, and plenty of money to show for their awesome efforts.

What about you? Ok so if you’re clear on wanting to use and recommend affiliate marketing products to learn how to be more effective with online marketing, and to monetize your list building whether the prospects join your MLM or NOT…

You need your own marketing funnel. You can either learn how to make one (which is very possible but takes some time and study) or you can plug into an existing one.

There are lots of Attraction Marketing Systems around on the internet. Many are completely over-hyped, over rated and will confuse the socks off you some more because you will be pitched every 3 minutes on the latest hot affiliate product.

No no no. Choose carefully because you need focus if you want to win your MLM END GAME. You also don’t want to introduce your team members to a system where they are being distracted every day by other opportunities right?

This is what happened to me when I first started to figure out how to use the internet to build my business. I was so excited BUT so distracted!

So I came up with a solution that would enable me to build my own list, generate commissions with affiliate marketing but retain my focus on building my long term residual and passive income.

You can use it too if you like. It works with any MLM – whichever one you choose. Go here for more details: MLM Online Funnel

Are Attraction Marketers Really Building MLM Downlines?

January 26th, 2010 rhenke Comments

Network Marketing fascinates me. If it didn’t I probably would have quit long, long ago. There is something about it that is simply addictive.. don’t you think?

What is it exactly? It’s hard to put your finger on.

It’s one of the toughest business models out there but still we cling to this concept of greatness through building a huge network.

Last week as you may recall from my ezine, Amateurs versus Professionals I attended a company convention and also had a special European leadership session with Randy Gage prior to the event which was by special invitation only. It got me thinking…

Randy is convinced that Attraction Marketing is devil’s spawn! This came as no surprise to me, as those of you who follow him know full well that he doesn’t mince words. With Randy it is his way or the highway.

That is actually what is so attractive about him. There is no room for doubt. He has complete conviction, the cheques and the success record to back up his philosophy. That is strong leadership that brings you back to the centre line.

During the leadership session he threw out a few acidic comments about Attraction Marketing and aimed them square at me. I shifted uncomfortably but looked him straight in the eyes. We laughed about it later as I know he wants only the best for me.

IMG_4069

I am well aware that I manifested all of this because I dreamed of working with Randy Gage and his systems years before he even got back into a Network Marketing company.

Still..anyone would think I created Attraction Marketing. I mean come on Randy.. I am not Michelle Dillard!

Randy thinks that Attraction Marketing is ‘bullshit’ and that lots of the online gurus are just mining the minors. (When you think that apparently there was more money made in the Gold Rush from the selling of shovels and levi jeans, than from the gold itself this is obviously a good business to be in!

Anyway it got me to thinking again as I so often do about this online and offline MLM puzzle or conundrum.

I have never said that online MLM is the only way to go because right from the get go I have been very aware of the advantages of building MLM with a traditional (but smart step-by-step) business plan.

Not ever doing fliers again though guys!

I’ve never begged my prospects to join or cried when they said no. (At least not in a long, long time) In previous posts I have written about much of the online nonsense that is going on as newbie network marketers try to figure out what to do, and spam our profiles.

Randy Gage and Eric Worre teach professional network marketing at its very best. Duplication and creating massive organizations that are built to last is their speciality.

Hence they have no time for the latest internet gimmicks and create an army of distributors who know exactly what to do.

Attraction Marketing and Internet Network Marketing on the other hand can get very complicated. By its very nature your people are all doing different things. This makes duplication very, very challenging. (If you didn’t read my story and why I created my own Attraction Marketing system yet, you can download my free Attraction Marketing e-book here)

I do love working online and bring in some great people this way. But you have to have a real business plan for them to get started fast with your company or team.

They then add in online marketing to the mix if they want to.

Going online straight away is awesome if you are experienced and already have a network circle to contact online. For some, especially younger people it is easy to get their heads around driving traffic to their web page. For others who barely know how to get their own domain name, it can be a very slow process.

Personally I advocate doing what you love and what makes sense for your personal circumstances. I for instance live in a very remote location and because of the internet have been able to enrol people from all over the world. Pretty exciting hey?

That being said I have some advanced internet skills and have created an excellent online marketing funnel that does a lot of the work for me.

If I lived in London I probably would do more local networking, so you see how it’s best to create your plan around your skill-set and your life as it is now. (That being said I have done so much local networking in my MLM career and I know the power of it)

I could go on. There’s so much here to elaborate on in another post but enough is enough. You guys are busy and short is better than long these days.

In closing I’m finding myself wondering how many of the Attraction Marketing gurus are really building an MLM downline?

I’ve always done the business with a mix of on and offline because the tools I have access to with my team are way too good to ignore for warm market.

There are many though who claim that they can do it all online. Network Marketing is about people and relationships so whilst I agree that A LOT can be done online with technology, I also know that meetings make money, cement relationships and build belief.

I see the transformation that happens to our team members when they attend events, especially major ones.

I do however LOVE online lead generation and for me it has always been about being able to teach people what to do to attract more prospects once they have been through their warm list.

In my experience most people are open to working their warm list if you give them realistic expectations and quality business tools to do it with.

Where it all falls down (I find) is when you have nothing else to teach them after that. It can be very challenging to meet enough NEW people to do another ‘major blast’ or create enough continued momentum and first line recruiting.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this. It seems to me that the roles have been reversed.

The die-hard online network marketers (the Renegades and the Magnetics) who refuse to do any offline marketing have long accused MLM uplines such as Randy Gage and Dani Johnson, of doing one thing but teaching another.

Funded proposals and affiliate marketing are amazing and I have generated a lot of income with them but they do distract people from building their MLM cheque unless they have a systemized approach to it and really understand it.

In a strange irony it seems to me as though the shoe is now on the other foot. The MLM leaders who have built huge downlines with person to person and warm market lists are now calling out the online gurus as doing one thing and teaching another!

Are Attraction Marketers for the most part just selling online affiliate courses and losing sight of the MLM dream?

When you figure that the big players in Attraction Marketing such as Mike Dillard and Mike Klingler are no longer building the MLM model…

Ann Sieg is in MLM but has a huge business with affiliate marketing…

Jonathan Budd is a big player but again I don’t know how much of his earnings published on MLM authority sites are actually from his MLM.

Perhaps Randy Gage has a good point.

What do you think? Leave your comments on the blog. I know this is a heated subject for many so please show respect!

p.s Every name I have mentioned in this blog has been of tremendous value to me in building my business and I in no way which to discredit any of them. They all bring incredible leadership and training to Network Marketing with their own unique style.

Are You a Black Belt Recruiter Yet?

November 3rd, 2009 rhenke Comments

Ok so you’ve just about got your head around how to generate some leads through your website and now comes the real work… What on earth are you going to say to these guys when you call your MLM leads?

Let’s look at a few different things you could do/say:

a) Call them and introduce yourself and see what the prospect is actually looking for (rather than ranting on about your wonder pills or ‘greatest compensation plan,’ in the history of the world! A.K.A ‘The Big Pitch!’)

This gentler version is known as the ‘consultative approach,’ for MLM and you can learn a lot more about that in Renegade University. When you think about it, it’s a great way to build relationships and network so nothing new there but it’s amazing how many ‘recruiters’ don’t do it.

b) Not call them at all… wait for them to be so ATTRACTED by your brilliance that they call you.

Yes this does happen and as you build your list and become more credible in online marketing and the MLM world, it will happen more and more BUT and this is a big BUT… if you sit waiting for the phone to ring when you’re just getting started in your business you are choosing the painful and slow route to recruiting.

Yes it requires some courage to pick up the phone (work with your sponsor on this or get the training you need elsewhere if that’s your situation.) The pay off is huge.

How are you going to ever learn how to recruit new business partners and product users if you are too scared to phone them?

Every time you call you will be practicing and getting a little bit better so that’s another great reason to start calling every lead you generate.

Unless you’re an internet direct sales marketer with a heavy hitting sales model or affiliate marketing business you need to speak to your prospects ASAP. and begin building the relationship with them.

The beautiful thing about building your MLM with online marketing is that it removes a lot of the time wasting of having to phone people who are not even interested. (although I still recommend you talk with your warm market when you start, but that’s another blog..)

However this is Internet Network Marketing or MLM using online tools. That’s all it is. It doesn’t mean that your auto-responder builds your team for you.

It is simply a tool – albeit the best tool I have ever discovered which means that all night long while I get my beauty sleep leads are plopping into my inbox.

Still you need to speak with your leads. Once you have so many coming in you can think about using a VA or Virtual Assistant to assist you for those initial calls, or only call back certain ones that email you or watch your video (if you have online tracking) etc. etc.

It’s up to YOU how you qualify your prospects BUT….(Another BUT!)

Until that day when you are flooded with leads please call them all. Start to develop the phone skills you need to be a top recruiter in your company.

Mike Dillard and Mike Klingler will both tell you that you still need to call your leads. No matter how fancy your capture page, there is no way around that so embrace it and make it fun.

Top Tip: Allocate batches of time where you just do calling. No distractions and no multi-tasking. (Apparently it lowers your IQ any way!)

If you have lots of leads set aside a couple of hours twice a week or whatever it is to call all your leads and say hi. If you’re just starting then set up a couple of times each day that you can try to reach them.

Find out what they’re looking for and assist them to come through your MLM online funnel with confidence.

A human voice makes all the difference in the world and will set you apart from the majority of network marketers who are new online and who think their auto-responder and capture page is going to build them a big team. (Yes really!)

Here’s an amazing free video for you today if you’re ready to start actually recruiting people rather than just creating fancy blogs and websites: Black Belt Recruiting Video.

The content in this video is pure gold and will show you that even Mike Dillard with all of his new school online marketing still practices and preaches ‘old school’ follow up which of course is just MLM 101, neither old school or new school!

For those of you already receiving Magnetic Sponsoring newsletters from Mike Dillard then you’ll know that he is arranging training courses for offline marketing now.

He has realized that many baby boomers and none geek types will want to do MLM in this new economy, but may not want to bury themselves learning all the skills needed to generate MLM leads online.

This is a happy day… Old School MLM meets New School in an amicable marriage of key networking skills.

Old School or New School – Just make sure you are ‘In School’ and put aside 1 hour to watch this incredible free training video interview series with Mike Dillard and Mark Wieser who personally sponsors over 250 people each year, and was one of Mike Dillard’s first mentors.

Attraction Marketing for MLM in the New Economy – Part 3

October 21st, 2009 rhenke Comments

Part 3 – How Do You Become an Attraction Marketing MLM Rockstar?

With thousands of people coming online each day desperately looking for solutions in this new economy and stumbling across Network Marketing, it is ESSENTIAL that you learn how to stand out from the MLM crowd and become a more attractive YOU!

How can I achieve this I hear you cry? It’s an online MLM goldmine with an online gold rush and stampede to go with it!

What can you do for people to sit up and take notice?
How can you attract people to you so they are compelled to type your name into Google and find out more about you?

How can you become another Randy Gage, Eric Worre, Mike Dillard or Mike Klingler?

Ladies there is plenty room for us here!

How can you attract people to click on your links and check out your articles, websites and blogs?

How can you give so much value that they are compelled to enter their details into your website so they can learn more from YOU?

Ok so you got started last month and you’re not too sure what I’m talking about! That’s okay too. Wherever you are just get started. Get started today and it won’t be a moment too soon.

Here is something you can do today to become a more attractive network marketer so you can start to develop the skills and the attraction factor of an MLM Rockstar:

Get Inspired!

Never in human history has it been easier to connect with the MLM legends and Attraction Marketing Rockstars. Do you realize how easy it is NOW to tweet one of these guys or gals, or leave a comment on their blog and start connecting and learning from them for free?

Here are some of the Attraction Marketing Rockstars that I follow and let inside my head on a daily basis. To become more attractive we need to replace those voices of lack and poverty and start to re-program our minds.

Here are some suggestions of blogs and/or resources for you to plug into:

Randy Gage – THE prosperity blog

Eric Worre – MLM Video Show

Mike Dillard – Magnetic Sponsoring

Mike Klingler – Attraction Marketing Merge

Ali Brown -Marketing Genius and amazing inspiration for women

Even if you never buy a product from these guys you can learn so much about being an attractive marketer just by reading their emails and blogs.

Take your pick but start following at least one of these Attraction Marketing legends today and focus on becoming a more attractive YOU!

So much of what we talk about with online MLM is technical or tactical.

Yes we need all that but we also need inspiration and energy to think bigger than we ever have. To become an attractive online marketer we need to be able to inspire other people to greater things especially in these difficult economic times.

What would they follow us for otherwise? Whatever level you’re at just get started today to ramp it up because if there was ever a time to turn it on and really start to brand yourself online then this is it!

The best way to inspire others is to really get inspired yourself. The world is changing and we have a brand new opportunity in this new economy.

Millions of people all over the world are wondering where the security is for them and how come the ‘old machine’ is broken.

Last night I listened into a call with Joe Schroeder and he said that the majority of people are now ‘beautifully equipped to participate in a world that no longer exists!’

Talk about inspired… As Jim Rohn would say, ‘you could stay up all night and not think of that!.’

Ok enough for today. You get the picture? You see how these inspirational mentors have influenced me so that their language stays in my head. To stay challenged and inspired pick some mentors today and work on developing your unique ‘attraction factor.’

Could Failing In Your MLM Be The Best Thing That Ever Happened To You?

Sounds like an odd thing to say I know! When you are in the midst of ‘failure’ or are just recovering and regrouping it may be difficult to think this way.

The thing is I got to thinking the other day about how life has a funny way of working out. Many times we fail miserably at things only to find something much better suited to our talents further into our life’s journey.

In ‘the Science of Getting Rich,’ by Wallace Wattles this is covered in detail. If you are in need of inspiration I highly recommend this amazing free little ebook.

The truth is that when we fail we are forced to look within. My first MLM experience was a harsh one. In many ways I loved it and I did have some success – just not the long term residual type that I was after.

I did however learn some skills that I probably would not be able to develop under easier circumstances. When your back is up against the wall you may find that you become more daring and creative.

Failure therefore is a mixed blessing. I know some guys who have joined MLMs and made it to the top very quickly. There are a few of those inspiring success stories in our industry and I love to hear them.

On the other hand I bet it must be very difficult for those lucky few to relate to the pain and frustration of the MLM masses who take soooooooooo long to reach the top, if indeed they ever do.

Relate-ability is a huge thing in a people business such as this. We often say, ‘well if he can do it, I can do it.’ If you have really been through it and you have a story, even if it isn’t a diamond one just yet, you may find you have more to give those getting started, than the guys at the very top.

If you’ve been round the block a few times, have been in several MLMs and not made it to the degree that you aspire then this just may be the best thing that ever happened to you.

How so? Well you have something to measure your success, your MLM company, your team, your activity against don’t you?

You’re not an MLM virgin who thinks that because the company website says so your products are the only good ones in the world! You have come of age and you have developed respect for other companies and leaders in the Network Marketing industry.

When I was in my first company I thought there was no other company that could match it! I was so starry eyed and naïve it is quite amazing when I look back.

Knowing what is out there will help you to become a significant force in the industry, not just in your company.

For instance, if I had been making $20k per month in my first MLM in my first couple of years it would have been unlikely that I would have felt compelled to search for what in my opinion, is a much better opportunity for me and my team members today.

Okay so who wouldn’t want to earn that kind of money quickly and become an MLM Rockstar?

Most would want to but if the business wasn’t meeting your expectations in other ways and you felt perhaps that your success was at the expense of others in your team, instead of as a result of their success, you might feel different.

But it would be harder to make the break wouldn’t it?

It is also unlikely that I would have pushed myself to research the industry and to learn other ways of doing things such as working with online attraction marketing and the different skill set that entails, if I hadn’t have experienced dissatisfaction using other methods.

If I hadn’t done thousands of flyers in the rain, stood in shopping precincts surveying people, driven around the county doing one on one presentations and product demonstrations, and fallen flat on my face so many times, I don’t think I would have the compassion that I have now for those in the business who work so hard to make their dreams come true.

It is a challenging and tough journey for most in MLM. The drama and the excitement are difficult to match in other business arenas though and I wouldn’t change it for the world.

So when you’re feeling a little down that you didn’t make diamond yet just remember these things:

  • Your story is unique and will inspire people to keep on going towards their dreams.
  • When you leave something behind no matter how painful, you create a vacuum that will be filled by something better if you let it.
  • Randy Gage, MLM Legend, didn’t make any money in his first 5 years in MLM.
  • Mike Dillard, of Magnetic Sponsoring, didn’t either (and was fearful of making phone calls to his prospects!)
  • Failure whilst not to be dwelt on is a trigger for looking within and deciding that you will improve your skill set and find the right vehicle and business building methods for you.

Do you have an inspiring MLM story to share? Please share with our blog readers – we’d love to hear it.

Is Online Attraction Marketing Enough or Do You Need an Offline Strategy as well?

February 5th, 2009 rhenke Comments

Yesterday I posted about the new model of attraction marketing and why it might be right for you in your home business. Some time ago I wrote about the need for online and offline marketing. There was an interesting comment from James Holmes who mentioned that if we don’t leverage the internet for growing our business then we would be the only growth industry not to do so.

To ignore technology in respect for our traditional business model does indeed seem like madness then, doesn’t it? See the article here if you’d like to track back to the original post.

Anyway moving on today I was thinking about how important it is to have a strong business plan to offer to your team members which covers both online and offline methods. After all we all go through stages in our life where sometimes we are out and about much more than others.

What do I mean by that? Well the mother of 2 young children will probably not be wanting to put herself in a position where she needs to be out of the home everyday trying to frantically generate leads for her business.

However she wants and needs her business to keep building even though she is not fully focussed now. That is why she initially started the home business.

Even if she is out of the house everyday with her kids she may want to focus on being with them and of course is likely to come across some great candidates along the way whom she can connect with and start to build a relationship, but it probably won’t be enough to keep her business moving.

On the other hand if you take the smart young professional woman who works in a busy lawyer’s office, eats out 3 times a week and has a busy social life with lots of cultural and sports activities, she may not have the same issues of meeting enough suitable people to build new relationships with on a consistent basis. (Notice I don’t say new people to jump on and ram her business opportunity down their throats on the first time they meet!)

Offline marketing can be very elegantly done and it has its place. With all the technology developments happening now people are drawn to their phones and laptops more and more. I found myself reading an e book in bed the other night and actually holding the laptop like a book!! I know I must get one of those new kindle things but for now…

The point being, that people will crave human interaction all the more because largely they are being deprived of it now. A Facebook or Skype chat is not the same as meeting someone you love for a cup of coffee. It is great and Skype is a tool that I can’t imagine living without but still face to face meetings have a completely different energy.

Dan Kennedy, one of the most effective marketers of our time teaches the need for online and offline. From what I can understand Dan Kennedy is the original Magnetic Marketer (forgive me if I’m wrong Mike Dillard!) Of course nothing is truly original and he will have expanded on the seed of an idea from somewhere else but still he teaches magnetic marketing but he shows his members how to market using all methods to attract prospects to them. Offline marketing can be done with attraction strategies as well.

Many of the current adverts for online attraction marketing deride the style of the training from the traditional Network Marketing leaders and the main source of annoyance seems to be that they don’t teach internet methods of prospecting.

I have given this a great deal of thought and I’d be very interested to know what others, like myself think who actually have built their business to a large degree using offline methods.

Here is my question. If a leader has say 100,000 team members spread across 50 countries and they get together globally, or in their regions for big training events, how could the leader train all those people on complex online methods?

To further complicate the plot it would automatically rule out a huge number of them from even being able to start to implement the training because English is not their first language and even if they can get by (which many can’t) they would not for instance be able to build a funded proposal made up of Magnetic Sponsoring or other available materials in English. (They could build it but their prospects may not be able to read it!)

Industry leader, Randy Gage teaches that the formula for duplication is based on having a large group of people taking a few simple actions over a sustained period of time. This how you escape the ‘grinder’ mentality and become an MLM Rockstar.

No matter how innovative we get with online attraction marketing, unless we can teach it in a systematic way that everyone can get the hang of it will automatically rule out the masses won’t it?

I think that is very possible now for those in the English speaking markets and especially with Social Media tools to build the business fast. However when selecting a new MLM company or team to join it would be a good idea to look beyond the product line and the other criteria (although that is of course important also) to what kind of systems are in place to build your business.

Personally I would be looking for a team and sponsorship line that knows how to teach and duplicate with offline methods so that your business can be easily expanded into exciting overseas markets like Mexico, Brazil and Italy. (Those guys are not going to be sitting at home hiding behind their computers and resisting telling their friends and family)

If you want a global business rather than a National one then these are the things to take into account. Does your company and/or and sponsorship line have prospecting materials available in all these other languages? Do they have them both in hard copy and online format?

Does your sponsorship line have a strong system in place that can work for anyone, no matter what their language, English Literacy level, cultural background or social skills?

In closing I think if you work online you will of course attract other people who want to work online and that’s great. Make sure you join a team that has that system to offer you so that you don’t need to build it yourself before you can even start.

However when your downline are making money (possibly instantly with the MLM and/or funded proposal) they may very well be excited and for example; want to share the opportunity with their brother and his wife who happen to live in Mexico. Now Tom who is American married Maria from Mexico who speaks English but is not that computer literate and doesn’t write English too well.

She has been in Network Marketing before and is actually looking for a new opportunity. She asks how the business works. If you can only offer her an online model in English you will most likely lose her. Who knows but she could have been a Diamond?

Anyway you get the picture. A lot can be said for Niche and Targeted Marketing but if you are fortunate to work with a Network Marketing company that is in the early stages of growth across multiple continents and time zones it would be madness not to take advantage.

Why Does Every Business Need A Blog?

January 27th, 2009 rhenke Comments

I promised I would blog about blogging so here goes! I know it’s an area where many people get stuck because they don’t feel confident to produce quality content for their blog.

Today let’s look at why you would want to master these skills and why you should bother to create a blog:

  •  Blogs are cool and I believe every business should have a blog. Why? Blogs are easy to set up and maintain. They provide one of the easiest ways for you to brand you and your business online and to get free qualified traffic to your websites.
  •  Google loves blogs and ranks them highly. Google my name and you will find my blog immediately. This builds credibility, and because of the personalised content on blogs people seem to trust the message more, and enjoy reading more than on regular websites. (Note: you must provide quality content – not bash your readers over the head with opportunities! Your readers are looking for information and solutions.)
  •  Your blog is completely in your control. Never in the history of marketing have we had such an opportunity to personally brand ourselves and be in control of our own message without paying hundreds and thousands of dollars for the privilege. I’ll post more about which blog platforms are available and what the benefits of them are in the near future.
  • You can learn to make short videos, your can paste other people’s videos where appropriate, you can write articles and with all of this content you are creating back links to your websites which provide residual value and traffic. It is completely in line with doing the work once and getting paid over and over!
  • All of the content you produce can be re-formatted into a different delivery method so for instance you can write a 500 word article for your blog on Monday. On Tuesday you can create a short video with the same message which will appeal for more ‘visual’ types who are searching for video training. 2-3 days later you can submit your article to 5 good Article Directories. (I say that because google will rank your blog based on it being original content so you don’t want to submit the article to multiple places at the same time as you first post your blog. Do you get the power of this? Really? It means that you only have to think about this once and do a little planning and research and then you can use the same information over and over.
  •  A Blog is interactive and is an essential part of the new Web 2.0 marketing tools. People no longer wanted to be preached to by stiff looking reporters with monotone voices on television, or shouted at in newspapers. They want to be a part of the communication and be able to talk back. They can have their voice by commenting on your blog. (You can read more about this on my previous posting about the Social Media Training with Perry Belcher)
  •  Final point for today. Blogs are FUN! I love blogging, and contributing to the creative world that bloggers inhabit.

These are just a few of the reasons why you really might want to take advantage of blogging technology. By now you may be asking yourself, ‘Why would I not have a blog?’

If you’re concerned about writing content I will be posting some helpful tips that really helped me get to grips with writing articles and blog posts, the quick and easy way so watch this space!

If you’re thinking that you don’t have the hair or the desire to be a You Tube ‘guru’ then don’t fret. You can blog quite happily without producing your own videos if that’s not your thing. As with all of these new tools, you may find that once you master one method, the others won’t seem quite so daunting.

It’s all about baby steps and gaining confidence so as I often say you just need to get started. (If you already have a blog but are not blogging because it seems too difficult start to google some other blogs in your industry and I’m sure you’ll find that if you break them down piece by piece you can easily start to produce your own.

If you want to learn how to make videos, set up your blogs and bring the whole thing together perhaps with a funded proposal (where you monetize your list building) grab a copy of Mike Dillard’s ‘Building On A Budget.’ It’s easy to follow and contains brilliant resources and step by step guides to generating more traffic to your website without breaking the bank.

Specialised Pay Per Click Training For Network Marketers

January 17th, 2009 rhenke Comments

This looks great! Find out more here if you haven’t heard yet about this exciting training course. I watched the video interview thinking it would be the same old stuff and why should I bother to learn pay per click when I learned it from Perry Marshall who absolutely teaches all there is to know… or does he?

Think again. This one’s just for Network Marketers and you’ll understand why when you watch. Enjoy and please check in to share your comments. It’s worth watching the whole video as the story is very inspiring.

Part 2 Review of Social Media Training by Perry Belcher and Mike Dillard – Is It All It’s Cracked Up To Be?

January 17th, 2009 rhenke Comments

Well I promised to continue to review the trainings as I go, and to share with you my dear Blog readers what I am learning as I go along, and how useful I think the training is. The subject for this video was ‘Winning At Twitter.’

I settled down happily with my cup of tea (I am British after all!) and prepared to be wowed once more. The 2nd video was just short of 2 hours and I took 9 pages of notes so it’s fair to say there was some great content and I was inspired by the Social Media training.

This time Perry Belcher was doing a solo act, and considering it was such a long video he kept it light and entertaining for the most part. There were a couple of sections where I thought it was a little heavy going as Perry gives so many valuable resources to use with Twitter that it can get a bit overwhelming. Sometimes I wish I could just know it NOW, don’t you? I am of course working on developing more patience!

Twitter is a giant playing field so as with many things it’s a case of picking and choosing what is useful to you, and what will make your life easier and your posting more effective.

The good news for newbies is that the videos take you right through from A-Z. They show you exactly how to set up your twitter account and how to make it look attractive and what details to include. Also of course once you invest the time to learn valuable skills they are yours to keep forever, and are so transferable for any industry.

Top Tip 1:

Use your blog as your website link. That is the equivalent of inviting your friends to your house for the after party! If you don’t know what I mean then review my previous post this month about the overall concept. You can also watch the short intro video there to get the idea. If you don’t yet have a blog then use your Facebook profile or something more personal than a basic business website. This is all about Personality marketing and that just doesn’t come through with a replicated company website.

There were so many useful resources that I haven’t got to grips with checking them all out yet but I certainly will apply the best ones that are useful for Network Marketers so make sure to keep an eye on this blog. You can subscribe at the top right hand side of my blog to receive notification of my updates so you don’t miss out.

Top Tip 2:

Don’t be tempted to just build a huge following of just anyone! Be smart with this; ie if you are in Network Marketing you will want to connect with like minded people. Sure you can connect with people outside of the industry but make sure there is a synergy. Ultimately you want to be providing good value to your followers so you can re-tweet quality content from other professionals. Connect with people who know more than you about the niche you want to become more proficient in.

This is the age of information so you need lots of good and entertaining stuff to keep your blogs and tweets interesting. Perry mentioned several sites such as www.Cracked.com and www.Fark.com where you can find funny stuff. (I tend to be a bit serious so will probably need to plug into some of that!!)

Final Top Tip For Today:

When you set up your account, if you haven’t already, then Perry recommends making 10 good quality postings on your home page so that when you start following people they will come back to follow you and find something interesting there, and be more motivated to follow you back.

I hope this has been useful for you. Not everyone wants to be a twitter fanatic so a couple of top tips here and there can certainly help you to get good value from your twitter activity if that is the case.

At this time the trainings are not available for purchase but I am pretty sure that soon they will be opened up and offered as a product once again on Magnetic Sponsoring. When they are be sure to grab it if you’d like to develop a huge audience of loyal followers who want to hear what you have to say.

This is all about giving but ultimately if you apply what Perry teaches and offer value, build an audience of 10,000+ people who like what you do, you are going to start to reap the rewards financially.

The playing field is level and anyone can become a celebrity or guru in their chosen field with Social Media. Why not you? Your comments or questions will be well received so please feel free to check in with your thoughts.
