Get Your Time Back for MLM!
Last post we covered time management for social media. This week let’s talk about time management for your MLM business.
With the Information Age come time management challenges like the world has never seen before!
Yes we all have our usual time management challenges such as managing our jobs and businesses.
You may be busy caring for your children and juggling lots of other commitments but on top of that we now have information coming at us through the internet cables at such a speed it makes your head spin.
This is the best thing. No that’s the best thing. And on it goes on; day after day.
Marketers (like me!) trying to get and keep your attention.
I’m going to be really straight with you and tell you what I think you need to do (and not to do!) to stay sane and moving forward with your MLM business in this crazy internet world!
Top Tips for Time Management for MLM
1) Do not sign up for everything! You will never read it all, follow it all and will probably end up confused and do nothing.
2) Pick one or two people that give great value in the area that you want to master (you might for instance receive my weekly ezines because you want to learn how to attract prospects to your online)
3) Study what your new mentors teach and start to IMPLEMENT the best strategies that can work for the MLM of your choice
4) Focus on what you CAN DO; not what you can’t do. Take baby steps but monitor yourself so you are moving forward with your to do lists everyday.
5) Make yourself a schedule everyday BEFORE you start work. Put specific times for beginning and ending activities. Then move on! Don’t waste time chit chatting on the internet and reading gossip and news.
6) Include 30 minutes- 1 hour of prospecting time for each day. This may be from your warm market list or for calling back your prospects that have come into your marketing funnel to request more info about your MLM. Don’t buy into this deluded idea that you can build an MLM business without picking up the phone!
7) Counsel with your upline. If your upline stinks go further upline! If there is no one who can support you there then you might want to ask yourself if you’re batting with the right team. You have two choices; become the upline or move to a team where you can get better coaching and leadership. It all works but do one or the other and don’t waste time moaning!
Create a 90 day plan. Your MLM business is built through creating momentum. This comes from CONSISTENCY. If you speak to 2 people this week (and I don’t care if you found them in Tesco’s or they came to you through your magical online funnel) it is not enough. You are playing the LOTTERY. 2 people a day bring freedom your way is the old cliché and it still rings true today. With online marketing you need more than that so that 2 people a day are actually looking at your MLM presentation.
9) Record your marketing and prospecting activity. Then you will know why you got the results you did when you review your business. 90 Day plan means head down and don’t keep stopping and questioning yourself. Just do it. 90 days of real consistent activity. 90 days will pass very quickly whether you do it or not so why not do it? My God it may even work! You might start signing people up that came to your through the internet (or wherever!) Imagine …
10) Turn off all distractions. Prospecting time means you are making outgoing calls to prospects. Do just that; don’t try to reply on skype and message on Facebook at the same time. Networking time is different to prospecting time. Control your time so you are proactive not reactive. If you are reactive all the time you will probably never get anything done except responding to other people’s needs.
